The Price is Right - 5/2/12 Episode (Part 2)

The first part of my review of the May 2, 2012 episode of The Price is Right can be found here.

I left off the first half of this review with crazy Joshua #2 getting on stage to play "Step Up."

It did not go well.

Note to everyone: designer shoes aren't cheap. Especially if they're featured on The Price is Right.

It's moments like these where I wonder what Drew Carey is really thinking. He tried his best to play up Joshua, only for him to play the game like that. And this came virtually on the heels of that "Rat Race" disaster in the previous pricing game.

Not that Joshua seemed to know where he was too bothered by it all, once he was reminded that he'd get to spin the wheel.

Bidders' row FAIL
So, George Gray's facepalm in the first half of this review? It came after everybody over-bid on a sofa:

Here's the thing: Peggy (second from right) was the last to bid. The lowest bid before her was $990. If you think the sofa is worth $700 in that situation... just bid a dollar. It's that simple. Peggy would've won.

Idiot.

I just can't be bothered
Bess (above, second from left) eventually won the sofa. Then she won something or other by playing "Pick a Pair." She then won $11,000 on the wheel by spinning $1 in her first go, then one of the green numbers for $10K on her bonus spin. To top it off, Bess won her showcase (trips to Grand Canyon and Ireland, and a Jeep) with an impressive $35,000 bid, just $2,746 off the actual price. (Linda of "Rat Race" fame woefully under-bid her Showcase - go figure.)

I don't feel like showing you any of this, though, because every time she won something Bess would unleash this shrill shrieking noise that sounded like somebody put a microphone in front of a stuck pig. It was so bad after she won her Showcase that I literally covered my ears for the final 30 seconds of the broadcast.

In case you couldn't tell, I was thoroughly annoyed by this episode.

But at least we had two positives:

DIABEETUS!!!!

And finally...
Helllloooo, ladies...
