I don't care if you have no idea how much that new set of luggage costs. If you're the last person to go on bidders' row, you bid either $1 or $1 more than someone else. It gives you the best chance of winning.
This is not rocket science.
And yet, today we have Pheleta, who after bids of (in order) $912, $800, $499 on the his/her watches, goes with...
I mean, why bid $801 when you can decrease your chances of winning by about 90 percent?
Pheleta did not win.
Nor did she learn her lesson. In the very next round, Pheleta was again the fourth to bid, and after submissions of $600, $400 and $620 on the Wii family package, she goes with...
Alas, even this blind squirrel found her nut. Life is not fair, sometimes.
Passing the buck
In clutch situations - be it sports, game shows, or everyday life - winners rise to the top and take responsibility. Losers blow it and find someone else to blame.
Today, Danielle was one item away from winning four prizes on "Danger Price." She just had to guess which of the last two prizes remaining - the desk/chair combo or the pool table - was not $3,190.
Here's what transpired:
You're a grown woman, Danielle. Think for yourself.
Tyrone didn't appear too bothered by the threat of sleeping on the couch:
I wonder how he felt, though, when Danielle went out of her way to throw him under the bus again during her wheel spin.
The Plinko saga continues
Today was day four of five for the Publishers' Clearing House/Plinko mega-prize. With Tuesday's and Wednesday's Plinko not getting the $20,000 add-on with their final chip, Breanna's last chip today was worth $60,000.
As I predicted yesterday, somebody is winning $80,000 tomorrow.
Pricing game WIN
There have been some close calls lately in "The Range Game," and none more so than Alberta today.
You can't really tell in this picture, but the range appeared the end right on the line for $10,579. But, hey, what's $1 when a pair of motor scooters is on the line?
Just another reason I'll never fully understand women
As we found out during today's playing of "More or Less," these two pairs of shoes (from Christian Louboutin, for those who know about such things) cost over $1,300. Each.
My feet hurt just looking at them.
Joseph won them, anyway. Hopefully, he has a girlfriend.
If not, at least he has a lot of guy friends to fall back on, as evidenced by this celebration after his Showcase victory:
Just a bunch of bros being bros after their fellow bro wins a car and a trip to Costa Rica.
Another addition to the wall of shame
The rough week for "first four" contestants continued as Evalyne went 0-for-6 on bidders' row.
And, finally...
