You may have noticed Brady yelling into the microphone there. Over-exuberance is the norm on The Price is Right. Even so, some contestants just rub me the wrong way. Today, Brady was one of those contestants.
He clearly does not understand what a microphone is intended for, as he had been yelling into it the entire broadcast:
Who won the Showcase today?
Brady, of course. And he celebrated in typical brutish fashion. David - the calm, stoic firefighter from Toronto - offers a congratulatory handshake. Too bad Brady was jumping around like an animal at the zoo...
He soon got around to a half-hearted handshake to his dignified opponent, but he wasn't done hamming it up.
Come on, buddy, act like you've been there before.
Not all was lost, as Andrew won a car playing Rat Race, a game I thought was fixed until the last two times I've seen it: both car-winning plays. It's not that hard to earn rats in the race, as evidenced by Andrew needing to guess within $100 of the price of that $150 fondue set. To his credit, he got it right on the nose, and then...
You may have noticed Andrew's shirt saying, "Ditchin' 4
Drew." Apparently, this is a common theme across our land, given some of
the tweets out there today. And, as you'll see, skipping class isn't always
necessary to get your Price is Right fix (Twitter handles excluded to protect
the innocent):
"@MensHumor: If nobody on earth gets sick for one day,
does The Price is Right still come on?"Yes because what will I watch if I
skip class?
We're just sitting here in class watching the price is right
on tv
Price is right in class HELLO!!!
decided not to go to my only class of the day so i could
watch the price is right
Skipping Spanish to eat and watch the price is right
#bestplanever
40 mins late to class. Set my alarm wrong. Needless to say,
Im skipping :) I'll watch The Price is Right instead
Contemplating skipping class to watch the price is right is
normal, right?
The future of America, everybody! Just don't be that guy...
